Rail heating for Automatic gates

In winter, ice may form on the rail, and interfere with sliding gates.   The hollow shape of the rail allows a heating cable to be inserted nearest the surface to be heated, without any complex fixings. Heat transfer through most metals is good and allows a reduction in electrical consumption. If the rail used is not hollow, then the only way is to heat it is from underneath (in concrete, under stones…). For each problem, Flexelec can provide its solution.
