What is a process heating ?

Process heating is primarily used to heat up or maintain temperature of liquids, solids or gaseous materials. It may be necessary to heat solid materials in order to change it to a liquid state or to maintain liquid at a suitable temperature to ensure optimum viscosity. The vast majority of applications are to ensure that fluid materials maintain their flow characteristics. Where materials are hest-sensitive the criteria is often not only to keep the fluid at its optimum viscosity but also to ensure it does not overheat and go off spec. It is therefore important in many cases to maintain [...]
