Rail heating for Automatic gates

In winter, ice may form on the rail, and interfere with sliding gates.   The hollow shape of the rail allows a heating cable to be inserted nearest the surface to be heated, without any complex fixings. Heat transfer through most metals is good and allows a reduction in electrical consumption.
